This November 2nd & 3rd at the Head of the Hooch in Chattanooga, TN, Charlotte Youth Rowing is participating in Row for the Cure. A few of our women's boats will be racing in special races for breast cancer awareness. All the proceeds raised will go to our local Charlotte Susan G. Komen, to support those living with breast cancer in our community, with 25% of the funds raised going to research. All of these races, and any money raised will be in honor of Lynn Burnett, an integral member of our CYR community. Donate using the link below, or in person by talking to Samantha Del Vecchio or Holly Burnett this weekend at Secret City, or next week at practice. Fundraising will continue after the Hooch. Help us provide a diagnostic screening, a mammogram or a biopsy for the underserved populations in our communities, and support breast cancer research.

Charlotte Youth Rowing is one of only two rowing programs in the Charlotte, NC area.  We are supported by the Siskey YMCA in Matthews, NC and row out of Catawba Yacht Club on Lake Wylie. Charlotte Youth Rowing is a club team, meaning we are not associated with any single school.  Currently, over 20 North and South Carolina schools are represented on the team.  The team has been growing consistently since its creation in 2000.  We welcome male and female rowers of any experience level from middle school through 12th grade.  Rowing is split into two season Fall (Aug-Nov) and Spring (Feb-May).  The best time to join is at the beginning of one of these seasons.
Please consider making a donation
to Charlotte Youth Rowing. 100% of

all donations go directly to supporting

our equipment needs and rowers who

may not otherwise be able to participate.
